Choosing a Cello Teacher
Choosing a cello teacher is easy with Beethoven at Home. We offer a wide ranging selection of teachers all offering either at home cello lessons or in studio instruction (at the teacher's location). All of our teachers have been vetted for quality and security. There are several factors to consider all of which can be discussed with your selected teacher over the phone upon completing registration. These would include:
- What is your child's or your learning style? Are their special considerations?
- What are your goals as a parent or student?
- What kind of cello music do you or your child respond to?
After meeting your selected cello teacher initially over the phone they will be able to advise you on any and all questions you might have including:
- Procuring an instrument (the cello is available in various sizes relative to height (4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 etc.)
- How often and how to practice
- What books and materials are required
You will find all of our teachers to be polite, thoughtful and genuinely interested in your musical needs. Have fun!
When to Begin Cello Lessons
Cello lessons can begin at a very early and are an excellent foundation for the study of other instruments in future. Some students have begun their studies as early as the age of 6. Whether or not this is possible is dependant on the child's capacity to pay attention at this very early age and all children are different (ages 8-12 are more typical). No matter the age, whether young or old, the cello is a great instrument to begin or continue one's music education. Beethoven at Home will help you choose the right personality of cello teacher for yourself or your child. Our local consultant will contact you and discuss your child's personality and try to come up with a match that suits your requirements.

Having one teacher come to our house and teach multiple instruments has been a joy! The girls are so happy with their teacher and I am not on the bridge driving to 3 different teachers anymore.
Toronto traffic was a nightmare for after school music lessons. We're saving a lot of time and Brian is writing his first song.
Thank you for finding such a qualified and professional singing teacher for our daughters. The girls are loving the singing and the house is full of music once again!
Since I was a little girl I had always wanted to learn the accordion but couldn’t find a teacher in my area. Now I have my first concert on Saturday. Thanks Beethoven at Home.
Thank you for finding a violin teacher for my son and a piano teacher for my daughter. Thank you even more for finding a teacher who could do both lessons on the same evening!
I wanted to learn guitar and to write songs and you found me such a great teacher. It’s two years today and next month I have my first gig with my own band! Everyone should learn to play!
Our son continues to learn to play drums with the teacher you introduced us to. I wanted you to know that he has a new set of friends from the band at school and has improved all his marks at school. We think it’s the music lessons. Thanks.
